费德里奥

Fidelio, Ludwig van Beethoven's only opera, received no less than three world premieres. The third version, which is performed at the Wiener Staatsoper, was first performed in 1814 at the K?rntnertortheater. Beethoven's Fidelio musically resembles a "Singspiel" while also showing heroic traits, the finale culminating in a jubilant apotheosis glorifying the ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity. In his Fidelio, Beethoven manifests his vision that the belief, love and hope of an individual can have great impacts - and even cause political systems to totter.
