Mickey and Gin Gin are best friends. They both work for temple, as a dancer and a performer for the gods. Mickey wants to find her dad, who left for China a decade ago. Gin Gin wants to find Jay, her crush, who moved to Guangzhou. The two set off in search of the missing men in their lives. But as luck would have it, Mickey and Gin Gin lose their luggage on the first night in Guangzhou. Without a dime to their names, they meet a migrant worker who takes them in for the night. But later that evening, their new friend throws Mickey and Gin Gin back onto the streets over a misunderstanding. When Gin Gin finally sees Jay, she is ultimately disappointed. And when Mickey eventually locates her dad's factory, only emptiness greets her . In the end, under Guangzhou's night sky, the pair hop on a motorcycle taxi and head toward the misty, winding highway.
