What could make a successful and well-established woman who had three children abandon her former lifestyle and assume the monastic habit? Irina Denissova had been a renowned Belarusian conductor, composer and academic teacher before she joined St Elisabeth Convent. She managed to use her talents and skill in her new capacity and currently is the precentor of an Orthodox choir. For an average person, her decision entails great sacrifice but for the protagonist of this film it brings true spiritual fulfilment.
