Alex is a modern 35-year old woman, with friends, romances and the occasional rant. Yet her life was turned upside down at the age of 18, when a simple fall left her lying unconscious on the floor for hours.
Following a serious head injury, and a subsequent lengthy coma, Alex became physically incapacitated. She no longer suffers from the "Locked-in Syndrome" that once affected her, and she now uses a wheelchair. Every day, for the last 17 years, she has been fighting tirelessly to master her own body, which responds with difficulty.
A ruthless fight to rebuild her life. She attempts to lead life of a woman to the full, engaging in all sorts of experiences and challenges. A compelling existence, with no limits, and no taboos.
