Let Us Persevere In What We Have Resolved Before We Forget

Experimetal film director Ben Russell establishes this film on the John Frum‘s prophecies, who leads Cargo cult rites in the island of Tanna. While the camera observes the followers around Frum, Russell’s mind plays with the anthropological conventions of cinema. Like his other works, it is always a borderless exploration moving from the ethnographic documentary to experimental film, from some political reflexion to the contemplation of Nature, from the sequence of shots to accelerated editing.
