这部罕见的片子被BBC Store放出来了，拍摄地是格莱德伯恩，经常办歌剧节的地方，全程外景弥补了当时电视电影的通病（室内外照明反差大+舞台感过于浓重），Jeremy Brett自1968年后又演了一次俾隆，最好笑的是四人扮作俄罗斯人跳舞。
