NBC has put in development I Love Lakshmi, a multi-camera family comedy from Universal TV and studio-based Aggregate (Growing Up Fisher).
The project is co-written by Muffy Bolding & Doug Prochilo and inspired by Prochilo’s real-life experience marrying into an Indian family (He is married to Universal TV president Bela Bajaria). I Love Lakshmi follows the trials and tribulations of new parents, Danny and Lakshmi, as they endure Lakshmi’s own meddlesome immigrant parents — whose version of the American dream never included a Danny.
