Go in with low expectations and it's an acceptable diversion. I can't speak for people who wanted to see "dreamy" Fox act serious or Rowlands act more serious. I went to enjoy Joanie Jett and did, with Michael McKean adding some levity along the way. ----- When this flick first came out, Fox appeared on a talk show promoting it, claiming to be a rock fan, as he particularly enjoyed James Taylor -- yow. That would be like Jay Leno claiming to be a car buff, his favorite model being the horse. After that I was pleased to find that there is some good rock here. The rest is about the level of Family Ties, ok.
