The second world premier in cooperation with the Braunschweig State Orchestra is an enigma in the recent history of German film. Our guest of honour remembers: ” My first collaboration with orchestra and choir as a film composer” The first story produced by Iranian director Farhad Yawari is about young Lara, who lives in a mental institution, because supposedly she is mad about dolphins. As a silent film, it requires very special music, which has to reflect totally the dramatic language of the protagonist, her hope, grief, happiness and fear. It is dance-like, mystical and emotive all at once.
