'The Role' is about a brilliant actor in revolutionary Russia who takes on the greatest role of his life - the role of another man. Influenced by the ideas of symbolism and the Silver Age, he decides to slip into the life of his doppelganger - a revolutionary leader in the new Soviet Russia. First intrigued, then obsessed, he flings himself into the role and lives it to the hilt... even when the play of the life he is writing heads towards a tragic finale. 整个片子看下来不知所云。不知道他为什么去，也最终没明白他去干什么。因为整个过程他什么也没做。没看出来派他去的人是白还是红，但终究应该有个合理的目的。但这人去了之后一直处于游离的状态。也没有主动争取回到领导岗位。整个故事的构思和叙述我觉得很失败。只是画面很美。所以给了三星。
