剧情介绍
Alfred I. duPont-Columbia and Peabody-Award winning filmmaker Lynn Novick (THE VIETNAM WAR) has directed and produced a new documentary series, COLLEGE BEHIND BARS, that reveals the transformative power of higher education through the experiences of incarcerated men and women. The four-hour series will air on WITF TV in November 2019. Distilled from nearly 400 hours of cinéma-vérité footage, the series explores the lives of a dozen incarcerated men and women as they struggle to earn degrees in the Bard Prison Initiative (BPI), one of the most rigorous and effective prison education programs in the country.
WITF will host a free preview screening of the series followed by a community conversation about the role of Education in Pennsylvania prisons at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg on Tuesday, June 4 from 5-7pm. The event will be emceed by Scott LaMar, Host and Executive Producer of WITF's Smart Talk program.

非常好!因为我自己去监狱和大家一起讨论过社会学作品,感觉纪录片细节指出表达非常精准。另外,推荐相应的fresh air对导演和两位主角的访谈。
