Speaking in depth to a range of stand-up's most successful names, from Jack Dee to Simon Amstell, Jim Davidson and some top American stars, he explores their backgrounds and influences, and their passion for making people laugh.
Yentob also jonis Eddie Izzard backstage as he prepares to perform the first solo stand-up show at the Hollywood Bowl, and explores how stand-up comedy evolves, and its transferral to other mediums.

看到一个搞笑的场景我总会想，这个人知道这样会让人发笑吗？ta是自然的还是故意的？我总把自己的社交状态认为是“表演型人格”，说俏皮话，让人开心，适当可爱，这样得到了大家的喜欢，“开心果”“八面玲珑”的评价，但是社交活动后我会需要一段时间的自闭。又或者我享受这种“表演”和它带来的好处，过分强调“表演”“累”像在表明自己多么独特，未免太自恋了。“不进行表演性的社交”适合我吗？我会失去大家的喜欢吗？我到底要做什么样的人呢？

最喜欢的是说所有的段子都只存在在内个剧场里面，所以说啊看个standup就放轻松，如果你走出来觉得没有被offend到，那门票就白花了～啊啊啊不过为什么没我Ricky叔啊，螺丝儿也是漏了个脸...
