DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Gros Chagrin is a short movie shot on animation table, Alexeieff-Parker pin-screen and 16mm film. My project was to come as close as I could to the stream of consciousness of someone reflecting on a recent breakup. How Jean deals with guilt, pain and in the end blind anxiety, was the most important part of the story, thus voluntarily deconstructed with a mix of techniques, hectic editing and bursts of humour.

#Venice2017# 地平线单元，最佳短片。确实本届最佳，影片混合真人和版画风格动画，用十分复杂的手法（声画关系，跳切等等），把分手后男生的悲伤与怀念讲的摇曳生姿。
